Knock Jockey

Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 13, 2026

Knock Jockey provides door-to-door canvassing software to businesses. This policy explains what we collect, why, and what we do with it.

Who this covers

Two groups: the businesses that subscribe to Knock Jockey and the sales representatives they authorize to use the app. If you are a homeowner whose property appears in the app, see Property information below.

What we collect

From subscribing businesses

Company name, contact name, email address, phone number, and the trade you work in. Payment details are collected and stored by Stripe, our payment processor — we never see or store full card numbers.

From sales representatives

A display name and a numeric sign-in PIN set by their employer. While a representative is signed in and actively using the app, we process their device's approximate location to center the map, determine nearby properties, and build driving routes. Location is used to deliver those features and is not sold, shared with advertisers, or used to build a profile.

Knock activity

When a representative records an outcome at a property — not home, callback, not interested, sale, do not knock — we store that outcome, the property, the timestamp, and which representative recorded it. This is the core function of the product, and it is visible to that representative's employer.

Website visitors

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics on this website. It reports aggregate page views and referrers. It does not use cookies, does not fingerprint your browser, and does not track you across sites. We do not run advertising trackers on this website.

Property information

The app displays residential property records — including recent sale information — obtained from publicly available real estate sources. This information concerns properties, not named individuals: we do not collect or display homeowner names, phone numbers, or email addresses. Records age off the map automatically after 13 weeks unless the subscribing business has recorded that property as a customer.

If you own a property that appears in the app and you want it removed, email hello@knockjockey.com with the address and we will remove it and mark it do-not-knock across our system.

How we use information

We do not sell personal information. We do not share it with advertisers.

Who we share it with

Only the service providers needed to run the product: Stripe (payments), Cloudflare (hosting, DNS, email routing), Google (maps and calendar scheduling), and MapTiler (map imagery). Each receives only what its function requires. We also disclose information where required by law.

Where data lives, and for how long

Data is stored on servers in the United States. Knock activity is retained for as long as the subscribing business maintains an account, because historical coverage is what the product is for. Recently-sold property records are deleted automatically after 13 weeks. If a business cancels, we delete its data within 90 days of a written request.

Security

Data is encrypted in transit. Each business's data is isolated from every other business's at the database level. Representatives can only see data belonging to their own employer.

Sign-in for representatives uses a numeric PIN chosen for speed on a doorstep. A PIN is not a strong password, and businesses should treat it accordingly: give each representative their own, and tell us when someone leaves so we can revoke it.

Your choices

Representatives can decline location access; the app still works, but claiming and routing depend on knowing where the representative is. Subscribing businesses can request a copy or deletion of their data at any time by emailing us.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or port your personal information, and to object to certain processing. Email us and we will honor them.

Children

Knock Jockey is a business tool and is not directed at anyone under 16. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes

If we change this policy materially, we will update the date above and notify subscribing businesses by email.
